People of Good Will Presents Yusuf Rahmaty – White Sabbath, December 19 at 7 PM

People of Good Will is pleased to present a multimedia installation from recent Guelph University Graduate Yusuf Rahmaty, 7 PM December 19th at Heritage Hall: 83 Essex Street, Guelph, Ontario.

Rahmaty will present his multimedia installation piece White Sabbath. Using western mediums from Bosch paintings to current cinema, the installation will renegotiate western semiotics through pre-existing subtexts. Through the process of simulacrum, the imitation (or mutant body) begs to challenge the primary content and how we perceive the original.

About the Artist:
Yusuf Rahmaty is a recent graduate of the University of Guelph fine arts program and anaspiring artist. His undergrad focus was on video and photography, primarily using found material. This will mark his second public exhibition.
