Less Radical More Tenderness: Conversations in the Round

Less Radical, More Tenderness is a mini-series of intimate conversations and gestures among artists, thinkers and enactors deeply engaged with community and generative approaches to the body, care, wellness, vulnerability, relationship building, restorative practices new & hybrid practices, queerness, two-spiritedness, Indigeneity, communal learning, and expanding conventional standards of relationships, responsibility, and reciprocity.

The event is the final round of activities for Mashkiki Gitigaan (Medicine Garden in Anishnaabemowin), a local community-building project co-curated by Elwood Jimmy and Chelsea Brant, that engaged the concept of the medicine garden as the foundation for artistic inquiry and learning around plants, medicines, gardening, food sovereignty, environmental sustainability & justice, and Indigeneity.
