Gardening with Kitty Lickers

Mashkiki Gitigaan welcomes its 6th and 7th summer workshop of the season as we host Kitty Lickers from Six Nations of the Grand River. Kitty will be delivering two free talks on the weekend of August 25th and 26th:
“The Hows and Whys of a Medicine Garden (including Creating Your Personal Why)” on Friday August 25 (12:15-1:45)
“The Practical Aspects of Putting in Your Garden” on Saturday August 26 (11:00 – 1:00)
Note: These workshops go hand-in-hand but do not require attendance at one in order to attend the other. Please feel free to join us for one or both.
These workshops will involve casual discussion and learning. Participants are invited to bring their own lunches as we listen to the experiences of Ms. Lickers, who works at the Six Nations Greenhouse and with Our Sustenance Program. Participants will visit the ARC Medicine Garden, and for those wishing to get their hands dirty, some gardening opportunities will be available.
These workshops are open and accessible to all and are FREE to attend. We welcome all ages from children to seniors.
Both workshops will hold a capacity of 20 people on a first-come basis. Please RSVP to chelsea[at]musagetes.ca/musagetes-old with your name and which day(s) you would like to attend.
