Eight Artists Enter the Boarding House Arts Incubator

Boarding House Arts is pleased to announce its selection of eight new artists for the Arts Incubator. These participating artists will be featured in an exhibition titled HELLO: Arts Incubator 2015 opening at Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art.

The Boarding House Arts Incubator is an eighteen-month studio residency and mentoring program designed to assist emerging and mid-career artists advance their professional careers. A particular focus is placed on understanding the business dynamics of the art world and the requirements of building and sustaining a career as a professional artist.

The Arts Incubator supports a breadth of artistic practices ranging from media-based work to painting to socially engaged art. This year’s artists were selected through a highly competitive process, which followed an open call for applicants.

The 2015-16 Arts Incubator resident artists are:

• James Olley
• Gregory Pepper
• Jazmyn Pettigrew
• Evelyn Sorochan-Ruland
• Steph Yates

The HELLO: Arts Incubator 2015 opened on Friday, February 6, and the show will run until February 28 at Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art, 31 Quebec Street, Guelph.
