SYN- is a Montreal-based urban exploration atelier comprised of architecturally trained artists Jean-Maxime Dufresne, Luc Lévesque and Jean-François Prost. Since its inception in 2000, SYN- has developed a wide range of urban interventions and public workshops that have been featured in Canada  (Skol, Axenéo7, Canadian Centre for Architecture, Biennale de Montréal, Centre de l’image contemporaine Vox) and abroad (Actions: What You Can Do With the City, CCA / Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, Chicago; Temporary Urban Interstices, Paris; 1st International Architecture Biennal of Rotterdam; UIA XXI World Congress, Berlin). SYN- is currently preparing new work for Dakar, Senegal, in collaboration with the IAGU (Institut Africain de Gestion Urbaine).
